Schanen will discuss the outstanding "lead singer" plants that thrive in and around Ozaukee County and other similar gardening zones\, along with great ideas for plants that support the showstoppers and bring cohesion to a garden. Schanen\, who lives and gardens in Ozaukee County\, is the creator of The Impatient Gardener blog and YouTube channel. She is an Ozaukee Master Gardener and writes a weekly garden column for the Ozaukee Press. The Impatient Gardener is a two-time Garden Comm silver-medal award winner\, for writing and social media\, and has a following of more than 250\,000.
